Five Great Last Minute Gifts for Athletes

Can you believe there’s less than 10 days until Christmas? Neither can I. Okay, so I know there’s still some people out there that still haven’t even started shopping for Christmas, but if you have an endurance athlete on your list, here’s a few ideas to make last minute shopping less stressful.

My two favorite books of the year: Run Fast, Eat Slow by Shalane Flanagan and Elyse Kopecky and Hit Reset by Erin Taylor. Both books your runner will use for years to come.

A race registration. This involves talking to your athlete so there’s no surprise, but trust me, runners and triathletes love a free race registration.

Need a stocking stuffer? Nuun works for that! This will keep your athlete hydrated even on the sweatiest run. If you know what kind of nutrition/hydration (GU, Clif) they use, that is a good option, too.

A running accessory. This can be anything from a SPI belt (my husband came up with this one-he loves that his iPhone 6 plus fits in it), a hat, Yaktrax for slippery runs….etc. Most of these can be found at your local running store or on Amazon.

Not sure what to get or does your athlete have everything? Best bet is a gift card. Personal favorites? Coeur Sports, Lululemon, Oiselle, Running Warehouse or a gift card to a coffee shop.
